Do not Survive but Thrive Series #2
THANK YOU very much for joining us LIVE w/ Allan Kleynhans tonight. If you couldn’t make it, we still keep our promise, so here’s the replay of this valuable content.
Allan, opened his heart to us and shared his personal story, how he healed himself, got out of war & drugs in Africa and then created a meaningful business that now he helps thousands heal through speaking and coaching on how to stop self-sabotage, find certainty at uncertain times, let go off unconscious limiting beliefs.
He also shared his leadership outlook: To see the opportunity where everyone sees lack, find a silver lining behind every cloud.
And it is our mind, heart, and soul-set; our consciousness’ defines who we are, not the golden cups, money, fame neither fortune, he concluded.
We also talked about one of the most important components of Mindful Leadership: Critical Creative Thinking with Hopeful, Positive Perspective and all this reminded me of “BATA SHOES IN AFRICA”
The Bata shoe story goes like this:
At the end of the nineteenth century, just as colonial Africa was opening up as a market, all the manufacturers of shoes in Victorian England sent their representatives to Africa to see if there might be an opportunity there for their wares. All duly came back in time with the same answer. ‘Nobody in Africa wears shoes. So, there is no market for our products there.’
All, that is, save for the Bata rep. He came back saying, ‘Nobody in Africa wears shoes. So, there’s a huge market for our products in Africa!’
And that’s why signs promoting Bata appear all over Africa, even in the remotest of spots. It’s why Bata’s shoes are known as the shoes of Africa.
We all are given the same time, day, mind, and body. It’s how we build our consciousness’ create the difference. You can choose to blame the virus, economy, war, and stay in fear and survival mode or you can choose to THRIVE and GROW even during downtime!
Zappos, is one such company that’s had success doing just that even during the global recession. After Tony Robbins’ Business Mastery Event, Las Vegas 2009/10, I was lucky enough to be invited to Zappo’s old location and got a personal tour by the man — Tony Hsieh himself. I will never forget what he told me when he was signing his book: Delivering Happiness.
“At times of crises, recession I do not stop, instead I get myself and my company ready for the after-period. Meanwhile, I focus on building relationships — inside; employees & outside; customers. When during recession invest in making your customers happy, do not focus on problems but create solutions for them, and create a corporate culture so all together you not survive but thrive! — oh, by the way, everyone thinks we are selling shoes online but NO, that is not correct; our business is…. we are delivering HAPPINESS.”
Wow! Tony’s do know the way….
We will keep on serving you with good, quality, and world-class content.
Stay tuned… BEST is YET TO COME!
